Dark Wheat
Dark Wheat

The Dunkle Frukenmaat Breweries carmalized some Maris Otter grains to get a nice Cara/Crystal Malt which gave this wheat beer an nice dark colour and a better taste than I ever expected.

Creamsicle Ale
Creamsicle Ale

The Good Humor Brewery picked up a bag of Lactose so they could try out this popular brew. They probably should have also sprung for a couple of vanilla beans too.

Citra Ruby Ale
Citra Ruby Ale

The Up Dog Brewhaus finished a quick Tuesday brew a few weeks ago. This is the result. Does the "ruby" mean that it is going to be red? Probably not. Too much dark crystal in it.
Code: CR

Dry Raspberry Wheat
Dry Raspberry Wheat

The Pardo's Berry Farm & Brewery dropped this interesting brew after their raspberry harvest. The yeast really sucked all the sugars out of those berries leaving very dry, but flavourful wheat beer.

Citra Smash IPA
Citra Smash IPA

From the Generic Brewery we tried their Citra SMaSH IPA. The Single Malt in this brew is our favoured standby: Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt, while the Hop is obviously Citra. This beer does not try to do anything unexpected. It just shows up and puts in the work being a good solid beer.

Lemon Basil Wheat
Lemon Basil Wheat

An unlikely brew from Ma's Periwinkle Blue Brewery, this beer combines basil with lemon zest to send up a uniquely tasting wheat beer. This time with Krapao and Horapa!!
Code: LB

Dirty Blonde
Dirty Blonde Belgian Ale

The 89/43 Brewing Company pulled this recipe out of last years favourites. This is actually a Belgian Blonde ale made with some Chateau Pilsen 2 Row and a half kilo of CaraBelge. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Lemongrass Wheat
Lemongrass Wheat Beer

Looks Like I Picked the Wrong Week to Stop Drinking Beer Breweries gives this beer another try. Surely 90gr of lemongrass will add some flavour to the beer. Don't call me Shirley and if we can't taste the lemongrass, I'm sure it will still be a good wheat beer.

Sounds like a beer I want to drink.

". . . there's a clean, grainy backdrop of wheat and oats, with fruity hop flavours filling in the gaps. Orange, juicy peach and orchard fruit, followed by a weakly piney, floral back end with a touch of grapefruit pithiness; citrus zest precedes an off-dry aftertaste. Light in body, with lively carbonation that adds a crisp spritziness to this light ale's smooth mouthfeel; quite refreshing, with excellent drinkability."
